Jumma-Friday

Abu sa´id Al Khudri rta narrates that Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: Avoid sitting on the ways. The Sahaba (companion) said: O Rasulullah! It is difficult for us to avoid this, as we sit there and discuss matters. He said: If you have no other alternative but to sit, then fulfill the rights of he way. Sahaba (companion) asked: What are the right of the way, O Rasullullah! He relied: Lowering the eyes, removing harmful things, replying to salam, and enjoining oog and forbidding from evil.

(Bukhari)

NOTE:
Sahaba rta meant that it was very difficult for them to avoid sitting on the way, as they did not have any other place where they could sit together. Therefore when some of them used to get together, they would sit on the ways to consult each other about their worldly and religious matters and enquired about one another´s welfare. If someone was ill, they would advise treatment; should there be some unpleasantness between them, they would make a reconciliation.
(Mazahir-e-Haqq)

Jumma-Friday:
Rasulallah (saw) said: "On the day of Jummah, the angels stand at the entrance of that Masjid in which Jummah salaat is to be offered. They write down the name of the person who enters the Masjid first, and thereafter the name of the person who follows, and they continue doing this. The person who entered first will receive the reward of sacrificing a camel in the path of Allah; the one who followed him will get the reward of sacrificing a cow, thereafter a chicken, thereafter the reward of giving an egg as charity in the path of Allah. Once the khutbah commences, the angels close the register and begin listening to the khutbah.

    The Levels of Prayer

    Ibnul-Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (rahimahullaah) said:

    And mankind, with regard to their performance of prayer are in five levels:

    The First: The level of the one who is negligent and wrongs his soul: He is the one who falls short in performing wudhoo (ablution) properly, performing the prayer upon its time and within its specified limits, and in fulfilling its essential pillars.

    The Second: The one who guards his prayers upon their proper times and within their specified limits, fulfils their essential pillars and performs his wudhoo with care. However, his striving (in achieving the above) is wasted due whisperings in his prayer so he is taken away by thoughts and ideas.

    The Third: The one who guards his prayers within the specified limits, fulfils their essential pillars and strives with himself to repel the whisperings, thoughts and ideas. He is busy struggling against his enemy (Shaytaanor Satan) so that he does not steal from the prayer. On account of this he is engaged in (both) prayer and jihaad.

    The Fourth: The one who stands for the prayer, completes and perfects its due rights, its essential pillars, performs it within its specified limits and his heart becomes engrossed in safeguarding its rights and specified limits, so that nothing is wasted from it. His whole concern is directed towards its establishment, its completion and its perfection, as it should be. His heart is immersed in the prayer and in enslavement to his Lord the Exalted.

    The Fifth: The one who stands for the prayer like the one mentioned above. However, on top of this, he has taken and placed his heart in front of his Lord Azzawajall, looking towards Him with his heart with anticipation, (his heart) filled with His love and His might, as if he sees and witnesses Allaah. The whisperings, thoughts and ideas have vanished and the coverings which are between him and his Lord are raised. What is between this person and others with respect to the prayer, is superior and greater than what is between the heavens and the earth. This person is busy with his Lord Azzawajall, delighted with Him.

    The First type will be punished, the second type will be held to account, the third will have his sins and shortcomings expiated, the fourth will be rewarded and the fifth will be close to his Lord, because he will receive the portion of the one who makes his prayer the delight and pleasure of his eye. Whoever makes his prayer, the delight and pleasure of his eye, will have the nearness to his Lord Azzawajall made the delight and pleasure of his eye in the hereafter. He will also be made a pleasure to the eye in this world since whoever makes Allaah the pleasure of his eye in this world, every other eye will become delighted and pleased with him.

    Virtues of Various Chapters of the Qur’an

    1 - ‘al-Fatihah’:

    Ibn ‘Abbas narrated:

    “While Jibril was with the Messenger of Allah, he heard a noise from above. Jibril lifted his sight to the sky and said: “This is a door in the Heavens being opened, and it has never been opened before now.” An Angel descended from that door and came to the Prophet and said: “Receive the glad tidings of two lights that you have been given, which no other Prophet before you was given: the Opening of the Book, and the last verses of ‘al-Baqarah.’ You will not read a letter of them except that you will gain its benefit.””

    ['Sahih at-Targhib wat-Tarhib'; # 1456]

    2 - ‘al-Baqarah’:

    “Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi (verse # 255) after every obligatory prayer, then there is nothing between him and his entrance into Paradise except his death.”

    ['Sahih al-Jami''; # 6464]

    “Verily, Allah Wrote a Book one thousand years before He Created the Heavens and the Earth; from this Book descended the last two verses of ‘al-Baqarah.’ These verses are not recited for three nights in any home except that no devil can come near it.”

    ['Sahih al-Jami''; # 1799]

    3 – ‘az-Zumar’ and ‘al-Isra”:

    ‘A’ishah said:

    “The Prophet would never sleep until he had recited ‘az-Zumar’ and ‘Bani Isra’il’ (i.e., ‘al-Isra”).”

    ['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 641]

    4 – The Glorifiers:

    al-’Irbad bin Sariyah said:

    “The Prophet would not sleep until he had recited ‘al-Musabbahat’ * (the Glorifiers), and he would say: “In them is a verse that is better than a thousand verses.”“

    ['Sahih at-Tirmidhi'; # 2712]

    *: ‘al-Musabbahat’ are those chapters that begin with “سبح” or “يسبح” and they are: ‘al-Isra’,’ ‘al-Hadid,’ ‘al-Hashr,’ ‘as-Saff,’ ‘al-Jumu’ah,’ ‘at-Taghabun,’ and ‘al-A’la.’

    5 – ‘al-Kahf’:

    “Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of ‘al-Kahf,’ then he will be protected from the trial of the Dajjal.”

    ['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 582]

    “Whoever recites ‘al-Kahf’ as it was revealed, he will have a light on the Day of Resurrection that will reach from wherever he is all the way to Makkah. And whoever recites the last ten verses of it, and the Dajjal emerges right after, then he will not be harmed by him. And nobody makes ablution, then says: ‘Glory and praise be to You, O Allah. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance’ [Subhanak Allahumma wa bi Hamdik; ashhadu an la ilaha illa Ant. Astaghfiruk wa atubu ilayk] except that it is written on a tablet and permanently transcribed on that tablet, and that tablet will not be broken or damaged until the Day of Resurrection.”

    ['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 2651]

    “Whoever recites ‘al-Kahf’ on the night before Friday, then a light will be lit for him between wherever he is and the Ka’bah.”

    ['Sahih at-Targhib wat-Tarhib'; # 736]

    6 – ‘al-Mulk’:

    “There is a chapter in the Qur’an that is made up of thirty verses. It interceded for a man until he was forgiven all of his sins, and that chapter is ‘Tabarak.’“

    ['Sahih at-Tirmidhi'; # 2315]

    7 – ‘al-Ikhlas’:

    “Whoever recites ‘Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad’ and completes it ten times, Allah will build a palace for him in Paradise.”

    ['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 589]

    Salat

    Salman rta narrates that Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: Verily a Muslim, when he performs Wudú and performs it excellently, then offers the five times salat, his sins are shed just as these leaves shed. Then He recited:

    "And perform Salat at the two ends of the day and in some hours of the night (the five mandatory salat); verily good deeds remove evil deeds. This is a reminder (advice) for the mindful (those who accept advice)".
    (Quran-Chapter 11 vers 114)

    (Musnad Ahmad)

    NOTE:
    According to some scholars, "two ends" means two parts. The first part stands for Fajr salat, and the second part for Zuhur and Asr salat. Performing salat in some hours of the night stands for Maghrib and Isha salat (night Prayer).
    (Tafsir ibne Kathir)

    Fajr = Morning Prayer
    Zuhur= Forenoon
    Asr = Afternoon
    Maghrib = Evening
    Isha = Night
    Isha is the period of time between the late afternoon and going to bed.
    May Allah swt forgive me if I wrote wrong the translation of the time of Salat into english. Ameen

    In sha'a Allah

    We should NOT write as "inshAllah" or "inshallah" because it means create Allah.
    Wether arabic or english please make sure we write it properly as "Ins ha'a Allah ", this means "if Allah willed"

    even insha-Allah also means create Allah.....i jus confirmed it n i used to write this :/ .... we shud write the correct word and that is
    " in sha'a Allah (إن شاء الله) "
     It really does matter coz the way in sha'a Allah (إن شاء الله) and inshaAllah/inshAllah/inshallah (إنشاء الله ) is written changes the meaning...
    Explanation:
    IN SHA'A ALLAH = Literally, "if God wills."

    إن = if
    شاء = to will
    الله= Allah

    AND

    إنشاء = to build/create/establish
    الله =Allah

    hope this helps :o)
